Tate Press Release: research project on acrylic paints

Last week the Tate announced results from it's three year research project: Tate AXA Art Modern Paints Project (TAAMPP). Information about their findings can be found here: http://www.tate.org.uk/about/pressoffice/pressreleases/2009/20670.htm

In addition to an overview of their findings, the site includes DO's and DON'T's for art collectors and collections managers about caring for artworks with acrylic paint.

Art Transportation, ICEFAT

To transport your art safely, whether locally or for a long distance, the first consideration you must make is what is the safest way to pack/crate your work within your budget. Once that has been determined, you must select a method of shipment.

If you're working with a new art transportation company it's always a good idea to do some research and ask for references. A good resource to use is ICEFAT (International Convention of Exhibition and Fine Art Transportation). Any reputable art transportation company will be a member of this organization.
